Stan Skinkiss

March 6, 2009 – Stan Skinkiss from Manchester, England passed way suddenly at the age of 77 on March 5. As an amateur Stan boxed for the Lily Lane ABC and won most of his 101 bouts. He won the Northern Counties featherweight title and reached the final of the British Railway Championship.  He joined the professional ranks in 1951 and in 50 fights he fought quality lightweights such as Freddie King, Leo Molloy, Johnny Butterworth., Teddy Peckham and Dave Charnley.
