He was a gambler in underworld, Philadelphia-South Jersey area; alleged master mind behind many burgalries and robberies in Camden and Phialdelphia area. he was a close associate of Mafia leaders in Camden area. His aliases: William Arthur Travers and John H. Butler.</p>
<p>He had arrests starting in 1925 including larceny, murder suspect, holdup, white slave traffic act, escape and breaking prison, assault and battery, state liquor violations. </p>
<p>Criminal associates: Angelo Bruno, Peter Casella, Pasquale Massi, Dominick Pollino, Louis Campbell, all of the Philadelphia, Camden area, and Lucky Luciano.</p>
<p>Besides being a fight manager, he also owned a motel and car wash in Mount Ephraim, NJ. Co-owned with his brother Anthony City Liquor Co., 4 West Kings Highway, Mount Ephraim, NJ.</p>

		<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m working on a list for the website I write for  (boxingnews24.com) it hasn&#8217;t been published yet but the main thing is the fact that most guys good enough to make the 2000 P4P list all started fighting in the 90&#8217;s, or earlier. So there will be some overlapping with decades but there&#8217;s also overlapping with weight classes.<br />

		<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I like the idea, but it&#8217;s tricky making a P4P list that covers just a certain amount of time.<br />
Fighters who had their prime during  turns of decades will have their total achievements handicapped compared to fighters who &#8220;packed their whole career into a single decade&#8221;.<br />
I assume this is the reason that these kinds of lists are not more popular?</p>
