Parker was a tough scrapper with a stiff punch who was willing and game; He ventured out west and made a name for himself in Denver

During his career, Parker defeated such men as  "Young" Peter Jackson, "Utah" Bob Thompson, Billy Elmer, Jack Carrig, Frank Bartley, Perry Queenan, "Chicago" Jack Daly and Rufe Turner
